The site is the biggest source of agricultural news for Kenyan farmers and has moved to the forefront of agricultural entrepreneurship in the country since its launch in April 2010.
Farmbizafrica reach has a specific target group aged 18-45, from varying professions, who make up over 70% of the readership.
These individuals have been actively engaged with the product and its accompanying social media pages. In its six-year existence, FarmBizAfrica has received numerous awards, including a CNN Award.
Team
Jenny Luesby, the Managing Director is an award-winning ex-Financial Times, BBC and EIU journalist. In Kenya since 2006, she was launch consultant for Nation Media Group's Business Daily.
Brian Moseti, the Managing Editor, was Managing Editor for daily newspaper XNews, and Chief Editor of local football website, Futaa.com. He holds a journalism degree from the University of Nairobi.
Victor Amadala (Journalist) is an award-winning journalist (won the AFP Award for fact-checking), who has corresponded for CFO.net, VG Norway, KBC before joining FarmBizAfrica three years ago. He holds a Diploma in journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
Laban Robert (Journalist) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Nairobi. He worked for local dailies XNews and the Daily Nation as a reporter before joining FarmBizAfrica.
